South of Midnight - Everything that Rises

This was the first level I worked on for South of Midnight, a massive area of flooded farmland with many unique points of interest. Compositionally it was often a tricky one due to how flat, bright and open the level is, but I'm quite happy with how everything turned out. One of the pillars when constructing the level was to keep it open visually and not block the player with fences or collision unless necessary, and instead use water to keep the player from getting out of bounds.

-----

Mainly my role here was level art and the construction/ownership of the entire space, with some general environment art tasks such as doing first passes on several of the giant statues, and supplementing modular kits or props where necessary.

-----

Somina Rout took over the finalizing of the level when I transitioned into a Lead role, and she did a wonderful job completing the level, especially the vistas!

-----

Each level is the result of the efforts of many, many people both from Compulsion Games and our co-development partners, but I've listed below some people who had a huge impact on the final result!
