Immortals of Aveum - Mycelium Vines

Mycelium vines created for Immortals of Aveum. Mycelium is a type of stringy fungus, in Immortals this fungus grows from decaying Aristeyan architecture.

I did an initial sculpt for each asset, starting with splines in 3DS Max and dynameshing them to create natural connections between vines, and used this as a blockout mesh while leveraging Nanite to get them into the game quickly. The sculpts were then unwrapped and had masks and materials set up by our outsourcing team.

The goal of the kit was to keep the asset count relatively low, but able to cover a variety of different architectural shapes and scenarios, kind of like traditional vines or ivy.
